Loooong day today.
For those of you keeping up with my fitness program, here’s the scoop. Lifted weights three days last week, did cardio four days. Supposed to do five days of cardio a week. I know, I’m a wuss.
This week I decided to take this stuff seriously, and today was the 5th day in a row getting up an hour early (4:00 am) to do 30-minutes of cardio. That’s on top of my Mon, Wed, & Fri weight lifting which also includes an additional 30-minutes of cardio.
On top of the exercise, I’ve done amazingly well with the calorie intake this week as well. Until today, that is. I’ve not been sleeping well all week, getting more and more tired, and I think my stamina just finally quit and my inner-fat-man came out. After my afternoon weight training and cardio I went to Wendy’s to get a frosty.
Not a small frosty. Not a medium. A large. Oh… and not just one, but two. Yeah. When I fall, I totally crash. More than 1,000 calories consumed in less than an hour. Unbelievable. Fortunately, I’d been good the rest of the day – so I didn’t destroy my new lifestyle too much.
The elliptical machine is the toughest thing for me right now. When I first began I could only do ten minutes on it. It’s two weeks later now and I’ve finally worked my way up to 30 minutes. But that’s not enough… apparently now my trainer wants me to turn the elliptical machine ON.
What a drill sergeant.
