Chicago Church Gives $500 to Each Member to In Turn Bless Others; Pastor Discusses What They Did With the Money

Chicago skyline is seen beyond the arctic sea smoke rising off Lake Michigan in ChicagoBack in September members of a Chicago church were given $500 each from a real estate deal the church received. Church members were asked to use their share to help various programs and initiatives around the city. And now reports are starting to come back in. One couple combined their money and made a $1,000 donation to an after school program. They also added $1,000 of their own money and that money is being used as a donor match so their contribution could end up being as much as $4000. Another story is from a single mom and her 9-year-old son. They are using the money to purchase kids books at local Goodwill stores. They then clean up the books and donate them to libraries and preschools in low-income areas.
