Christmas Surprise Traffic Stop with Lowell Michigan Police

The Lowell, Michigan police department had a little something extra in mind when they pulled over drivers in their community earlier this month. As part of the traffic stop they asked the drivers what they or their kids wanted for Christmas. What the drivers didn’t know is that fellow officers at local stores were listening in on their conversation. As the officer on the scene finished up the traffic stop paperwork, the officers at the stores were purchasing the very items requested by the drivers. Those gifts were then presented to the drivers before they were sent on their way. Lowell police officials say that, while they don’t encourage traffic violations, they feel it’s important for police departments to take time to show their citizens just how much they care.
