Meet the Disposable Bike Helmet of the Future, Made Of Paper

How effective could a paper helmet be?  A college student has invented a recyclable, foldable helmet that is so compact that it could be sold in vending machines or carried in your pocket.  Isis Shiffer, is an industrial design student at the Pratt Institute in New York City. Her helmet is made from waterproofed recycled paper, allowing it to hold up in inclement weather. Its radial honeycomb pattern allows the helmet to absorb blows from any direction.
