The Deceptive Eye (Part 2 of 2)

Not only can our eyes trick us, they can reveal what we’re thinking! This is the Creation Moments Minute.

Do you know why it’s so hard to find typos in the things you’ve written … while others have no difficulties spotting the errors? It’s because your brain knows what you are saying and so it automatically shows you a repaired version, making many of your typing errors invisible

Our eye’s pupils can even reveal our thoughts when seeing unpleasant scenes, the pupils get smaller. Viewing pleasant or interesting scenes cause the pupils to open wider.

Charles Darwin wrote, “To suppose that the eye, with all of its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree.  We wholeheartedly agree, Mr. Darwin!

For Creation Moments Minute, I’m Darren Marlar.
