This Serpent Bears Witness to God’s Greatness

On today’s Creation Moments Minute, meet a snake that looks like a strand of spaghetti and eats differently than all other snakes.

The adult Texas threadsnake has a jaw unlike any other creature. It eats ants, and if it ate like other snakes – slowly swallowing its prey – the ants would consume the snake. So this snake has a lower jaw, filled with teeth, and a hinge in the middle. As the lower jaws hinge in and out – several times a second – ants disappear into the snake in the blink of an eye.

The Texas threadsnake’s jaw structure is essential to its survival. If evolution were true, the snake would have become extinct during the millions of years it waited for evolution to find a solution to its problem. Unlike the serpent in the Garden of Eden, the threadsnake truly bears witness to God’s greatness.
