She told doctors she might have kidney stones. They told her she was about to give birth.

When Stephanie Jaegers decided she had to go to the hospital she thought she might have kidney stones. Instead, doctors told her she was, in fact, about 38 weeks and two days pregnant. At 37, the mother of two boys and a girl thought she was done having babies. She hadn’t experienced morning sickness. Her stomach was bulging a little bit, but it wasn’t big. And her weight had fluctuated by only a few pounds over the last months. In fact, doctors said she was already in labor. Shaun Jude Jaegers was born at 3:50 a.m. last Wednesday, almost six hours after his mother arrived at the hospital, and about three hours after his parents found out he even existed.
