The good… the bad… and the ugly!

Mostly, we have GREAT news to share with you; unfortunately, we do have one bit of bad news, and we will get that out of the way first. Sadly, Stephen Baldwin will be unavailable to fill the role of Pastor Keaton. Now, your first reaction will surely be “Oh…” (Read with: disappointment; visualize: shoulders and faces falling.)

A bit of an aside on the complications of film and television production:

These things happen. Schedule conflicts arise, creative differences occur. Our cast and crew are all currently confirmed either verbally or via letter of intent; if divergences arise, both the talent and producers have the option to go their separate ways, for any reason.

Back to the Updates:

NOT TO WORRY!! I assure you, the rest of the news we have to share with you is ALL not just good, but INCREDIBLE!!

WE HAVE DATES!! Production for the short film based in the world of ROCK AND A HARD PLACE is set for December 6-11, 2014!! Contracts are currently being executed, and as of right now, the remainder of our cast and crew are verbally confirmed for those dates.

We have added two MAJOR players to our crew!

Cinematographer: Victor Goss A.S.C. Victor has been a long time member of the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers. He has served as Cinematographer on many major film and television projects including: “Dresden Files”, “Grounded For Life”, “Nash Bridges”, “Wonder Years”, and Carrie (TV movie).

Consulting Producer: Dean Batali. Dean is a Producer and Writer best known for his work on “That 70’s Show”, “What’s Up Warthogs”, and (one of MY personal favorite TV shows of all time…) “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”.

What about cast you say? What about Rose, the Mother-in-law…. And what about Pastor Keaton?

Rose Washington, Pastor Keaton’s adversarial live-in Mother-in-law will be portrayed by Diane Sellers! Diane is best known for her recurring role on “Rules of Engagement” as Doreen, the waitress. You may also have caught Diane on these popular series: “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “Weeds”, “Two And a Half Men”, “House”, “Boston Legal”, “ER”, and “George Lopez”… just to name a few!

And last… but definitely not least… Pastor Darren Keaton. We hope you will all help us in giving a warm welcome to the star of Rock And A Hard Place: Jim Breuer. Comedian, actor, even author, Jim is known for “Saturday Night Live” and Half Baked. Check out Jim’s latest stand up comedy DVD, Jim Breuer: And Laughter for All, currently streaming on Netflix, as well as his book: I’m Not High: (But I’ve Got a Lot of Crazy Stories About Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior.)

Whew… Is that everything? I think so…

I hope that you are as excited as we are about the latest updates for Rock And A Hard Place. It’s been a long, twisting, winding road… but we’re getting there!! I cannot thank you all enough for being right there with us on this journey; your overwhelming support and dedication to this project mean so much, and we are all working to bring you a short film (and eventually a TV series) that you will all be proud to be a part of!!
