When Zevon Moore, age 14, and five other foster children arrived at Ollie Sharper’s home outside Richmond, Virginia, they carried their belongings in a black garbage bag. But, according to an ABC News report, Sharper, their foster mother, felt that the children deserved more. So she enlisted the help of Michele Jones, a restaurant owner, who started collecting suitcases from her friends and customers with the goal of collecting suitcases for every foster child in Richmond, Virginia. Through two drives called A Case for Hope she was able to collect more than 500 pieces of luggage.
