An Internal Clock You Can Feel
What gland in our brain was once thought to be a useless leftover of our supposedly evolutionary past? Find out on today’s Creation Moments Minute.
The pineal gland is one of our body clocks that helps us adjust to our surroundings like the changing lengths of daylight through the year. How can a gland deep in the center of the brain know how long the days are? One reason is that your pineal gland has a private nerve hookup to your eyes, so it can literally see for itself how much light is available! Scientists have found that adding artificial light during winter can sometimes help recover from the winter blues.
Our bodies are a network of complex control systems and chemical factories – a complex union of systems that go far beyond the abilities of the best human designers, but which testify to the wisdom of the Creator!
