If you’re fat in your 40s, look out!
People who are obese in middle age are more likely to experience a more rapid mental decline, including memory loss, than their friends who are of normal weight. That’s the word from French researchers at the Center for Research in Epidemiology & Population Health at INSERM in Paris. Those who are obese and also have high blood pressure and other problems linked to heart disease and type 2 diabetes have the highest risk for mental decline, but even those who are “fat and fit” will experience a faster loss of mental abilities, reports HealthDay News.
